Percepciones Significativas en La Visualización del Arte y el Diseño
Parte 1

“Fuerzas Psicológicas”

Nuestro alrededor está completamente sobrecargado, bombardeado de imágenes compuestas de color, líneas, formas, figuras y texturas, en espacios planos o 3 dimensionales y que se les ha dado el nombre de “Los Elementos del Arte y del Diseño” por muchos años.  Estos Elementos Artísticos están manipulados por una serie de factores que se les llama "Los Principios del Arte” y que son directamente utilizados y manipulados en la construcción del trabajo visual. Los Principios dan sentido, sentimientos, temperatura, dirección, movimiento y valores a los Elementos.   Podríamos decir que los Elementos son la materia prima y los Principios son las herramientas que hacen de esa materia prima una obra completa. 
Cómo entonces es posible que el artista o Diseñador pueda controlar todas estas partes constitutivas y entenderlas correctamente para así ejercer el control de su obra y posteriormente su audiencia?
Para entender y sumergirnos en este increíble universo de “Los Significados de La Visualización Artística”  y poder de esta manera entender y poseer las herramientas necesarias para que la obra intervenga con medios muy hábiles en la psiquis de la mente humana, emepezaremos por preguntarnos:  
Porque el gusto o la admiración al ver algo?  Porque la retina manda o no mensajes al cerebro y lo alerta? Cómo es que los sentidos vibran y responden al mirar? Para poder comprender y manejar estos principios artísticos es preciso entender que tanto el ser humano como los animales no solo perciben los objetos por su color, tamaño o movimiento, sino por las fuerzas opuestas que se atraen y se crean entre estos, y que llamamos Tensión.
Reconocer y entender esta fuerza dará al artista una identidad de naturaleza única y poderosa. El juego del control sobre la organización de los elementos visuales que al intercalarse unos y otros crean tensión directamente entre ellos.
Empecemos por entender que los elementos artísticos poseen magnitud, densidad y dirección.  Magnitud es el tamaño, la grandeza, la excelencia que también lo llamamos jerarquía o énfasis.  La densidad es el grado de absorción de luz o la cualidad de lo denso, o peso visual. Y la dirección es la distancia o recorrido entre un punto A a un punto B, también el lugar hacia donde algo se dirige, se mueve o se apunta.
Así, al observar que estos elementos poseen cualidades de magnitud, densidad y dirección el intercambio entre ellos pueden describirse como “Fuerzas Psicológicas”.
Hoy dejaremos aquí, esperando crear una gran inquietud en este concepto:
“No todo lo que se ve está materialmente presente”

A Look at My Students Notes

A Look at my student's Notes This is a place where students pause, to attend, to perceive, and to explore. I used to grade with great care my student's notes. They let me see their presence,   they showed they had discovered  a new world a new way.  Students already following a dream.  They were not passive learners anymore,  they open to the world thousand of possibilities were given consideration and more. A behavioral neuroscience study conducted by researchers at the University of California and Princeton University published in 2014 showed that students who take notes write thoughts, and sketch ideas by hand perform better with conceptual questions, and increased problem-solving,  than other people who don’t record notes or sketch ideas.  According to the study, one explanation for this exciting discovery is that writing, drawing, doodle with pencil and paper allows people to summarize...

Digital Imagery - Color and Form (Using Photoshop Suit)

Digital Imagery With the help of Digital Cameras  and Photoshop Suit,  my students create great art pieces, demonstrating excellent use  of the program and using to the max the photos  taken with a very regular camera.  We are looking at:   Direccion   Depth   Repetition   Contrast   Form   Color   Use of the Space Students are to be aware and understand:   Pixels (pictures elements)   Color Gradation   RGB   Dimensions (expressed by pixels)   Resolution (PPI - Printing good) Students study and applied depth - perceiving these depths through shapes in order to keep viewers vision active.
